Brunswick, Ohio, in Medina county, is 19 miles SW of Cleveland, Ohio.
The first modern settlers in this area were Solomon and Frederick Deming. They arrived in March 1815 and were soon followed by other families. The area was named after a principality in Germany. It had its first election in April 1818.

Heritage Farm is a popular tourist destination in Brunswick. It is a historical farmstead from the 1860s. The park is spread over 32 acres and includes a museum, as well as a one mile-long walking trail which passes through tall grass prairie land. There are several golf courses in the area, where golf lovers can busy themselves.
